Electroplating

By Frederik Drost

Electroplating is a process used to coat the surface of a watch with a thin layer of metal. It is a chemical reaction that deposits a thin layer of metal or alloy onto the surface of the watch. This layer of metal is usually made of gold, silver, nickel, or other metals. The electroplating process is used to improve the durability and appearance of the watch, as well as to give it a certain level of protection from the elements. It also makes the watch more resistant to scratches and other forms of wear and tear.
